Johnson County Emergency Management will conduct an off-cycle siren test on Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. This is only a test, and no emergency actions are required.

Siren tests typically take place on the first Wednesday of each month. However, the test was not conducted on the first Wednesday or second Wednesday of April due to the high likelihood of storms in our area.

During this test, the sirens will sound for a few minutes to evaluate the functionality of the alert system. This test is essential to ensure the full operational capability of the sirens located throughout the county.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this minor disruption.
