This incident is being actively investigated by the Iowa City Police Department, who is asking the public for assistance. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275.

Please note colleges and universities are now required to report hazing incidents following passage of the Stop Campus Hazing Act last fall. In addition to fraternities and sororities, this would apply to clubs, teams, and anything that could be considered an organization where membership is maintained.

The university took immediate action after UI Police, Iowa City Police, and Iowa City Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the fraternity house early Friday morning.
