Campus Safety to Adjust Late-Night Transportation Services for Summer

Campus Safety will provide a modified schedule for its late-night transportation services during the summer. These changes go into effect on Saturday, May 16 at 9 p.m.

In the interest of campus safety, we want everyone to be aware that University of Iowa Police received a report of sexual assault that occurred during the early morning hours on April 3, 2026, in a west side residence hall. The assault was reported to be perpetrated by an acquaintance.

Crime Alert: Aggravated Assault

In the interest of campus safety, we want everyone to be aware that Iowa City Police are investigating a report of a single gunshot fired near the 200 block of S. Clinton Street at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 8th. Though the initial investigation found no supporting evidence of a shooting, evidence of gunfire was discovered this morning (Tuesday, March 10).
Severe Weather Awareness Week and Hawk Alert Test

As we enter severe weather season, it’s crucial for everyone on campus to familiarize themselves with the university's emergency notification systems and how to respond. Campus Safety will conduct a Hawk Alert test on Wednesday, March 25 at 10 a.m., in coordination with the National Weather Service (NWS) and Johnson County.
