Campus Safety will soon launch a late-night shuttle to Aspire at West Campus, expanding overnight transportation options for students.
The shuttle — which begins operation on Saturday, Jan. 17 — will run daily from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. with service between the Main Library and Aspire at West Campus every 30 minutes.
Aspire Shuttle Schedule (Jan. 17 - May 15, 2026)
- Departs Main Library Cambus stop at :00 and :30 each hour
- Departs Aspire Cambus stop at :15 and :45 each hour
The Aspire shuttle will operate as a pilot program during the spring semester to help Campus Safety evaluate ridership and determine long-term late night transportation needs for students living at Aspire.
During the pilot the shuttle will not appear in the Transit App, and riders must swipe their University ID to board. It is important that users swipe their ID each time they ride so the university can accurately gauge demand.
Campus Safety is committed to keeping late-night transportation reliable and efficient and will continue adjusting the service to support students while making responsible use of university resources.
As always, a variety of other free and low-cost transportation resources are available to UI students and employees, including Cambus, Nite Ride, Hawk Vouchers, and other alternative nighttime transportation services.
