In the interest of campus safety, we want everyone to be aware University of Iowa officials received a report of fondling, a form of sexual assault, that recently occurred during the day time hours at an east side residence hall. No additional information is available at this time.

Most scams recently reported to law enforcement have occurred through social media sites and messaging platforms, such as GroupMe.

Following a successful partnership launched last spring, the University of Iowa Police Department and Iowa City Police Department will continue joint downtown patrols throughout the fall semester. These patrols increase officer visibility during peak hours on Friday and Saturday nights and add to Iowa City’s existing downtown public safety resources.

University of Iowa Police received a report of fondling, a form of sexual assault, that occurred during the evening hours on Wednesday, July 15, at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center, University campus. No additional information is available at this time.

Nite Ride service will begin later than usual on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, due to increased traffic related to the Savannah Bananas game.

Three major events will be taking place in the Iowa City and Coralville communities July 3 and July 4, that are expected to have an impact on parking and driving commutes.

The Nite Ride route will be temporarily adjusted beginning Friday, June 5, due to construction work on the Washington Street hill near the existing bus interchange and other summer events downtown Iowa City.
