Crime Alert: Burglary

The University of Iowa Police Department received a report of a burglary on May 16, 2023, at the Aspire at West Campus residential housing facility. The resident was away for a period of time and upon their return, found their door unlocked and items stolen. This incident is currently under investigation.
Crime Alert: Sexual Assault

University of Iowa officials received a report of forcible fondling, a form of sexual assault, that occurred during the daytime hours on Monday, May 1 near the Iowa Memorial Union.

Crime Alert: Burglary

UI Police received a report of a potential burglary in a west side residence hall. The reporting party shared that an item either went missing or was stolen from their residence hall room between April 7 and April 9 when they were out of town. There were no signs of forced entry.

This restructuring will improve the university’s ability to offer a range of safety services on campus, including law enforcement and non-law enforcement response options for mental health support, crisis intervention, and follow-up. It also prioritizes connecting people with campus and community resources such as the GuideLink Center, and resources offered by the Division of Student Life.
